Blue Crow

The Free Cherokees mourn the passing of our second Principal Chief, our beloved friend, Blue Crow, who crossed over on July 3rd. He will be greatly missed.
For many years, the Free Cherokee had a home on his property outside Carrollton Georgia in Tyus where we met for summer Gatherings. We experienced many good times there, and enjoyed Blue Crow's wit, wisdom and humor.
He was a very special person, and he will be with us in spirit. We remember him for his great stories and his down-to-earth humor. He also had a very pratical side and shared a great deal with others around him. He was a great teacher, and an example for many of us learning the Native American way of life.
      His spirit can now soar.
